Travel And An IDL

When talking about USA a lot of people like to move out for vacation to different states. They don’t leave even a single chance to refresh their mind and body after working throughout the week. For them weekend means just vacation for them.

Traveling can be filled with excitement if done with proper care. There are few things that has to be there if you are really serious about your tour. Your id card, driving license, international Driver License, road map etc are the few things that are mandatory if you are moving to different country in USA or even different places of world.

Id card can be issued by your own country and is valid for all. When its about driving license same condition applies as it can be issued by your own home place. Now the question is what is an International Drivers License? It’s the translation of the original driving license. Whatever has been written in the original driving license is translated into major languages of world. It makes the person in authority of that particular place to understand the driving license even if he is just unaware of the language of your driving license.

To apply for International Driver’s License a Driver must have Valid Driving License issued by Competent Authorities of his/her Home Country. He/she must be 18 years of age or above and there is no upper age limit for use of IDL. It also needs standard passport style photographs. One can only get International Driving License in the country that issued your license and a Person should apply it for 3 months in prior to date of travel. It is valid for 12 months from date issued. One must fill our on-line application and send his photo, signature and a copy of original driver’s license. One can do this while filling application by sending it directly from on-line application by clicking button “BROWSE” and select the files or send it later by e-Mail or by mail. International Drivers License is not a Substitute or Replace of a Government issued DL, but an official Translation. It is not valid for driving where it was issued and not permitted to those who are holding Learner License and to those who are less than 18 years age whether he/she holds License or not would not be accepted.
